Successful ISMPP meeting for Caudex Despite the best efforts of the volcanic ash cloud from Iceland, a team from Caudex Medical’s US and UK offices participated in and had an exhibition booth at the 6th Annual Meeting of the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP), which took place recently in Arlington, VA. In addition, we presented a poster on implementing GPP2 at Caudex, demonstrating our readiness to help our clients understand the implications of what the new guidance will mean for them. Caudex CMPPs Caudex now has six Certified Medical Publications Professionals (CMPPs). Five candidates from our Oxford office and one from the US team sat the exam in March, and all were successful in gaining certification. Caudex has always prided itself on its ethical approach to publication planning, so having our staff’s expertise recognized with the industry-standard qualification shows our genuine commitment.
On behalf of the newly qualified CMPPs, Jackie Marchington, Scientific Director, explained "I’m really pleased for all of us – it’s quite a time since any of us sat an exam and there was a certain amount of trepidation beforehand! This qualification shows we really understand the ethics and issues that surround our everyday work and are well positioned to advise our colleagues, our clients and the authors we work with."
Further candidates are planning to sit the exam in the next testing window in October. All new CMPPs will be announced at the upcoming 6th annual ISMPP conference.
